Also I wont lie Legendary Overlord has a MIGHTY fantastic ring on the forums.
I do not come to the forums much but I will be most displeased if their isn't a way I can show both my founders and my pheonix programs either as 2 seperate enteties at the same time or As one conglomeration.
And its not so much about Internet Peen that I want to do it its the fact that I have faith in what this game COULD be and I'd like to show my support througout.
Also Legendary Overlord sounds super bad ***.

The open beta players didn't have that same opportunity. Many of us closed beta testers not only got to experience the game FIRST before the rest of the world, but had the opportunity to buy mechs that were unique compared to what was available to the open beta players. You paid money to get a cool title and a cool mech that was unique so as to stand out amongst the open beta players. There's no shame in that, because you supported PGI and you helped them make a game that you wanted to play.
However, buying that package did NOT mean that you deserve anything beyond what you paid for; i.e., special mechs, unique title/badge, and premium time. Expecting PGI to placate to you every time they release a new promotion is not only childish, it's obscene. Either support the game or do not — There is no "I'm a founder I deserve free stuff forEVAR!!!"
More than likely, there are going to be a LOT of special pre-order packages like this...and those that feel the need to buy into them should accept the fact that there will be more in the future and they will probably be cooler than the one you bought months before.
So, if by their own graces, PGI gives founders / project phoenix players / etc. a nod every time they do release new promotions — like they have with Project Phoenix by offering a special cockpit item to founders — that only makes them classier.
Thanks for reading.

And if you buy the Clan Founder's pack, you should get a walking stick to go with it.

Seriously... who needs these stupid bagdes anyway?
It's not like they make you not going down when a 6ppcstalker hits your ct who is piloted by a player who just recently got into the game and figured out it is the cheapest way to collect kills.

Yep...players who complain they don't get to show off more than one shiny badge at a time, don't deserve a special treatment. PGI should not waste time by constructing extra badges for better visual representation of how much money someone invested. Show offs don't deserve attention if all they did was buying something. "Oh, you bought something...wow, you're such a great human being."

I would say "it'd be nice to display both overlord and the founders tag in a spliced view of some sort.

Because each level of Founder could technically buy any level of Phoenix. So you can have a Legendary Talon, Legendary Storm, Legendary Guardian, or Legendary Overlord, and so on for the other two levels of Founder...

I disagree. Smart companies reward loyal returning customers, and this applies to gaming companies too.

So founders with their diapers in a bunch need to relax; you will probably be able to switch between them in your account profile as you "unlock" them...much like how when you change factions, your profile avatar changes.

Listing all the packages you have in your forum profile is one thing, but it won't work for the in-game badges that are displayed. And expecting them to somehow make hybrid badges based off the packages you purchased is ludicrous....especially since there are MANY more coming down the pipe in the coming years.
So, like I said, you better get used to it...and learn to deal.

Yep, assumed it would come along at some point. A column dedicated to nothing but founder's badges seemed a little over the top. I'm glad the latecomers have something to show their support as well.
Personally I don't see anything wrong with just picking what you want to show there if you have multiple options.
For those who said the badge doesn't matter, providing a way for players to distinguish themselves from other players is how they make money on this. Skins, camos, whatever, it's all about exclusivity, and that sells.
